Thanksgiving 2008

We had so much to be thankful for this year! Thanksgiving dinner went pretty well, we had my dad and Debbie here, which was so much fun, and Ava took her first step!!!

Halloween

I will never forget Halloween 2008! We had beautiful weather, a fun time at our friends party-thank you Lauren, Chris and Nolan! My sister and mom were here and of course Ava was the cutest baby chicken! A group of us took the kids trick-or-treating and then back to the Rhodes' for food and fun! Here are a couple of pictures, again thank you Lauren for the beautiful pictures of all the kids-so stinkin' cute!

Harvest Spooktacular

It was a beautiful fall day at the Stamford Nature Center for the Harvest Spectaculars. There was so much going on from cider demonstrations to hayrides to pumpkin picking. The kids loved the animals. As we were taking a picture of the kids with a huge cow it started peeing; we literally had to move the strollers so they wouldn't get splashed!! Fun times!!

Apple Picking

Ava and I had so much fun with our friends Nolan and Lauren apple picking in NY! The apples were delicious and the orchard was beautiful. I think Ava will enjoy it more next year when she can walk around...you should have seen Lauren and I trying to maneuver the stroller up the hill to get the apples, it was definitely a workout!!

Hudson Valley Blaze

This past Sunday we went to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze in the Hudson Valley, close to Sleepy Hollow. There were over 4,00 hand carved jack o'lanterns, it was amazing!!

1st ER visit :(

Ava had her first visit to the ER on Tuesday, September 23. She burned the tips of her left fingers between the oven and broiler drawer. She had second degree burns and had to wear a gauze mitt on her hand. Obviously we felt horrible, no more playing in the kitchen for her. I can't believe she beat her father by going to the ER less than a month after turning one, Danny didn't make it to the ER until he was 4!!! At least we got the first time over with, but we are hoping there are no more trips!!! Here is a picture of her...we had to put a sock over the gauze so she wouldn't rip it off!

Ava's 1st Birthday!

I can't believe our little baby girl is one! Danny and I feel so blessed to have this beautiful girl in our lives and love her more and more every day. Ava had a fun and fabulous first birthday, thanks to all the family that came to share her big day! We miss you all and can't wait until Christmas to see everyone again!
